The Video Blog!
Here is my first video blog. I hope to make more like it even though it took quite a while and I was rushed to make it today. I am a little camera shy, but I will get used to it.
hey Evan! i think the video blog is great, helps connect you with your audience; i was diagnosed with type 2 since we last spoke but something about it doesn't seem right as I am 25 and skinny! so i am scheduled to see an endo for more tests and an MRI, there is a possibility I have a tumor in my pituitary gland and that diabetes is a symptom. so you should know that you aren't alone, there are loads of us out there trying to figure things out and victory is never sweeter than when you have overcome supposedly impossible odds; nothing is impossible! keep fighting! maybe you could fly in Canada; and don't stop writing your blog it helps to get things out regardless of who's reading. hang in there Evan there's always a light at the end of the tunnel; p.s. regarding incompetent healthcare professionals- when i went to get my test results, my gp told me i had diabetes; i asked him what the next step was, he wrote on a piece of paper "diet, diet, diet" and told me to get onto google. that was it. I pay a fortune for private medical aid and have never had access to any sort of diabetic clinic or anything like that; your healthcare is really streets ahead in the states, i live in South Africa. so i feel you- the only reason i am going to the endo is because I saw my uncle (who is a medical specialist in Canada)at a wedding recently and he was worried and told me i need the other tests; so i guess there are incompetent people everywhere gotta find the right one! hope since you have stopped writing recently that things are looking up for you now.
